I first became interested in working with dogs a few years back when my own dog developed a behaviour problem. Seeking help from a dog behaviourist, I was amazed how quickly my dog’s behaviour improved by changing a few things that were reinforcing the unwanted behaviour. Having experienced first hand the impact your dog’s unwanted behaviour can have on the whole family, I am eager to help others in similar situations.
Non-verbal communication (eyes, ears, facial expression, body language and motion) plays a huge role in how dogs communicate with other dogs and people. Often these are ‘lost in translation’ - hence why I founded K9 Lost in Translation.
I have previously worked as a Midwife for fifteen years, but I have now decided to make a difference to families in another way. For the last three years, I have been training and getting experience working with owners who have dog’s with various behavioural problems, resulting in an Advanced Canine Behaviour Diploma.
